About Kendall

Local media identity and Port Pirie Councillor Kendall Jackson is representing the Marshall Liberal Team in the seat of Frome for the 2018 state election.

Mrs Jackson was a rural journalist for the ABC’s Country Hour program for more than 12 years and recently operated the Flinders Rest Hotel at Warnertown, just south of Port Pirie with her husband Lee and four children.

Kendall grew up and continues to live on her family’s farming property at Warnertown. She attended St Mark’s College in Port Pirie and travelled throughout the region extensively gathering stories as a journalist.

With a strong record of standing up for the region and delivering locally, Kendall is proud to be part of the Marshall Liberal Team that’s committed to regional development.

Kendall understands the impact high cost of electricity is having on families and small businesses in Frome and is passionate about creating more jobs by supporting existing business and encouraging new industries.

As an astute business woman with broad experience, Kendall brings energy, enthusiasm and focus to the job of representing the Frome community.

If Kendall can be of any assistance, please feel welcome to contact her. She is keen to hear your concerns and ideas for our community and this great State.

About Frome

The electorate of Frome was named after Captain E C Frome (1802-1890) who arrived in the Province in September 1839 and was appointed by Governor Gawler to the Executive Council. He was the third Surveyor-General after Light and Sturt and made a notable contribution to the development of the colony, including early surveys of the South Flinders Ranges near Port Pirie.

Frome is a mid-northern country seat and includes the largely industrial urban centre of Port Pirie, extensive mixed grain and livestock farming areas and the grape growing and wine production areas of the Clare and Gilbert Valleys. Frome is comprised of the towns of Auburn, Balaklava, Blyth, Brinkworth, Clare, Crystal Brook, Erith, Georgetown, Gulnare, Halbury, Hamley, Bridge, Hilltown, Koolunga, Marrabel, Mintaro, Owen, Port Pirie, Redhill, Riverton, Saddleworth, Tarlee, Wandearah East, Warnertown, Watervale and Yacka.
